Your first visit begins with a comprehensive evaluation designed to fully understand your concerns, goals, and how your body is functioning as a whole. Your pelvic floor specialist will take the time to listen to your history, discuss your symptoms, and learn about your lifestyle and movement habits.
Following this conversation, a detailed head-to-toe movement assessment will be performed to evaluate strength, mobility, coordination, and how your body works together during movement.
When appropriate—and always with your informed consent—your therapist may recommend an internal pelvic floor examination to better assess pelvic floor muscle function. This will always be explained beforehand, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions and decide what you are comfortable with.
All evaluations and treatment sessions are conducted one-on-one in a private treatment room, ensuring a comfortable, respectful, and supportive environment throughout your care.

Many of our patients come to Proverbs Physical Therapy & Performance after trying other treatments without the results they hoped for. One of the key differences in our approach is the level of individualized care and attention you receive.
Every session is one-on-one with your therapist, allowing us to take the time to perform a thorough assessment and develop a treatment plan tailored specifically to your body, goals, and lifestyle. We also take a whole-body approach, addressing how your pelvic floor, core, breathing mechanics, and movement patterns work together.
Our goal is not simply symptom relief, but helping you build lasting strength, function, and confidence so you can return to the activities that matter most to you.
-
Proverbs Physical Therapy & Performance operates as a cash-based practice. This allows us to provide longer appointment times, individualized attention, and truly personalized treatment plans without the restrictions often imposed by insurance companies.
This model allows us to focus on what matters most—delivering high-quality, one-on-one care tailored to your needs.
-
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily, such as athletic wear or workout attire. Depending on your condition, your therapist may assess your posture, movement patterns, or strength, so clothing that allows access to areas such as the hips, abdomen, or back can be helpful.
Your comfort and privacy are always prioritized throughout the evaluation and treatment process.
-
Initial evaluations typically last 60–90 minutes, allowing time for a thorough assessment and discussion of your goals.
Follow-up treatment sessions are generally 45–60 minutes and are always conducted one-on-one with your physical therapist, ensuring focused, individualized care during each visit.
-
The number of visits varies depending on your condition, goals, and how your body responds to treatment. After your initial evaluation, your therapist will recommend a personalized plan of care.
Many patients benefit from a structured program lasting 8–12 weeks, which allows enough time to restore function, build strength, and create lasting changes in movement patterns.
Our focus is not only helping you feel better, but giving you the tools and guidance to move with confidence and maintain long-term results.
